BMe Research Grant

BME grant for the presentation of prominent research areas via the internet

The University Habilitation Committee and Doctoral Council (EHBDT) offers a grant for the promotion of research findings for a broader audience and the presentation of the corresponding research areas on the internet. The grant rewards those working on successful doctoral topics and makes their results visible through the website of BME. General terms and conditions of the grant

  • filling out a standard webpage (background, formulation of the specific research question, description of approaches and methods, results and publications so far, expected impact) aiming a learned audience not closely familiar with the research area

Who may apply?

Application is open to doctoral students younger than 35 years of age who have not yet earned their PhD degree at the time of application and who have active status in the spring semester of the 2022/23 academic year. Evaluation of applications

Aspects of evaluation:

  • Scientific, technical (artistic) value
  • Level of standard of the composition of the work, its intelligibility
  • Expected/realized impact

Applications are reviewed by the Reviewing Committee called upon by the head of the EHBDT. The EHBDT decides by secret ballot based on the written proposal of the Committee. The Reviewing Committee decides about the number of awarded grants without changing the ranking.

Artistic grants are evaluated and ranked by the Doctoral School of Architecture in advance.
